WE take it for granted now, but less than a century ago, tireless campaigners were still fighting for women’s right to vote. Discover how the good fight was won with a talk by the Parliamentary Outreach team and the Women’s Library at the Epping Forest District Museum on Thursday, January 21, at noon and 3.15pm.
The discussion is held in conjunction with the touring exhibition currently on display at the museum entitled Breaking Barriers, which examines the stories of suffragists and suffragettes from the eastern region, including South Woodford’s own Sylvia Pankhurst.
The exhibition runs until March 13.
