A COMMUNITY day in Ongar due to take place next week has been cancelled amid fears of more bad weather.
The Shelley Community Event, scheduled for Thursday January 21, was set to feature a variety of stalls and activities for children.
But now both Epping Forest District Council and Shelley School have decided to postpone the day until the end of February or early March because forecasters are predicting that there could be more snowfalls next week.
Cllr David Stallan, the council's housing portfolio holder, said: "Please accept my apologies for this.
"The bad weather has meant we have been unable to deliver flyers to the local community. We want to try to ensure the best possible attendance and a safe environment for all who attend."
