The former housekeeper of Attorney General Baroness Scotland has admitted possessing a false identity document, but denied intending to use it for fraud.

Loloahi Tapui, of Sutton Court Road, Chiswick, pleaded guilty at Southwark Crown Court to using a passport with a counterfeit visa stamp.

But the 27-year-old, who worked for the former Walthamstow resident as a housekeeper, denies a more serious charge of fraud by intending to use a false passport to establish facts about herself and to earn money as a cleaner.

Christopher Hehir, defending Tapui, told the court his client pleaded guilty on the basis that the stamp was false, but the passport itself was genuine.

Tapui entered her plea at Southwark Crown Court today and will appear again on April 6 for the start of her trial.

Alexander Zivancevic, Ms Tapui's husband, has accepted a caution for assisting unlawful immigration. The CPS is not considering any further charges against him.

Born in Dominica, 54-year-old Baroness Scotland grew up in Walthamstow and attended Walthamstow School for Girls, going on to become the first black female QC.
