A CHARITY is marking its 20th anniversary with a call for hardy souls to brave the Great Wall of China.
St Clare Hospice, in Hastingwood, is asking local residents to support its activities with a sponsored trek along the Far Eastern landmark.
Meg Martin, 54, from Coopersale, has already signed up for the event, to take place from September 17 to September 25 this year.
She said: “Both my parents died in hospices, so supporting St Clare is dear to my heart, and walking the Great Wall of China has always been on my To Do list: now I have the opportunity to combine both.
“There are still spaces available and the more people who sign up the more funds we will raise for this fantastic cause”.
People can sponsor Meg by visiting justgiving.com/Meg-Martin-in-China.
