CHARITABLE women across the district are being told to get on their bike.
The first ever Pedal it Pink event in the south east is taking place later this year in the grounds of Lee Valley Regional Park.
The cycle-event will see women raising money for breast cancer by taking part in a full marathon (26 miles) half marathon or 5k family lap.
All routes are completely enclosed by the park, which stretches from Waltham Abbey to London offering a traffic-free environment for competitors.
Lee Valley Regional Park chief executive Shaun Dawson said: “The Park lends itself perfectly to this event with a safe and traffic-free course winding past rivers, woodlands and lakes.
We regularly host a number of fundraising events across the Park and are thrilled to support the Breast Cancer Campaign and help raise funds for this worthy cause.”
For more information on signing up for the event, which takes place on Sunday, March 28, visit breastcancercampaign.org, email pedalitpink@breastcancercampaign.org or call 020 7749 3700.
