A MAN has been charged in connection with a stabbing in a busy shopping street.
As previously reported by the Guardian, a 25-year-old man was stabbed in Station Road, Chingford at about 2pm on Wednesday.
Suleiman Saalim Saed, 26, of Station Road, Chingford, appeared at Waltham Forest Magistrates' Court this morning charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.
The victim was taken to hospital as a priority and is said to be responding well to medical treatment.
Police have not yet identified the victim, but the Guardian believes he is the cousin of the man who ahs been charged.
Detectives will be in Station Road from 1pm today to locate witnesses to the incident.
