THE WOMAN who died after being hit by a car at an accident blackspot on Monday evening has been named.
Fiona Louise Daniels, 29, was run over as she tried to cross Woodford Green High Road, near the junction with Bunces Lane at around 7pm.
Ms Daniels, of St John's Court, Buckhurst Hill, died at the Royal London Hospital on Wednesday.
She was thought to have been jogging at the time of the accident.
A police spokeswoman said: "A post mortem examination is due to take place today, Friday 22 January at East Ham Mortuary.
"An inquest has opened and adjourned at Walthamstow Coroner's Court today, Friday 22 January.
"The driver of the Ford Focus stopped at the scene. He was treated by LAS, at the scene, for shock.
"The Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) at Chadwell Heath Traffic Garage is investigating this incident.
