A COUPLE have been arrested after a suspected cannabis factory containing £45,000 worth of drugs was discovered in Buckhurst Hill.
An unnamed 32-year-old man from Dagenham and a 23-year-old woman from Buckhurst Hill were both seized by officers after the find in Station Way.
Police have revealed they carried out the raid on the property on Wednesday evening (January 20) after receiving "community intelligence".
Inside the house they found five large containers of the illegal drug and other related paraphernalia.
Loughton Inspector Tom Simons said: “We take a hard-line approach to those who supply drugs.
"We will continue to work closely with law abiding members of our community to stamp this menace out.”
The pair arrested have been released on police bail until Thursday March 25.
A police spokeswoman said their inquiries were ongoing.
