PASSENGERS using the Underground system face even more misery today (Sunday) after yet another line was part suspended.
Planned engineering work had already closed the Circle Line and parts of the Bakerloo, Hammersmith and City, Metropolitan, Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly Lines - with the Waterloo and City Line shut as normal.
But emergency engineering works have now left the District Line suspended between Wimbledon and Putney Bridge, with minor delays affecting the rest of the branch.
The suspension leaves only the Central and Victoria Lines operating normal services.
A statement on the Transport for London (TfL) website read: "Valid London Underground tickets are being accepted for alternative journeys by all reasonable routes on local buses and on South West trains to and from Wimbledon and Waterloo."
