IAIN Duncan Smith claims video games are destroying the innocence of Britain's children.
During an interview with The Times, the Woodford Green MP said games like Grand Theft Auto, were "incredibly violent" but that youngsters were still being allowed to play them.
The former Tory leader made the comments as part of a wider conversation about the current problems with British society, and how he believes they can begin to be solved.
He also focused on alcohol abuse and parenting in general as key issues to be addressed.
Mr Duncan Smith is head of Tory thinktank The Centre for Social Justice, whose ideas are thought to have a major influence on Conservative Party policies.
