Graffiti at the Stow
VANDALS have graffited the famous facade of Walthamstow stadium, prompting concerns about the way the empty site is being maintained by owners London & Quadrant (L&Q).
Two “tags” were spotted over the weekend by Keith Foster, of Farnan Avenue, Walthamstow.
He said: “The first desecration of the facia towards the street has appeared, no doubt not the last.
“So much for site security.”
L&Q is expected to submit an application for 490 homes, shops and leisure facilities on the site.
This is opposed by campaigners who want to see the venue re-opened for dog racing.
