YOUNG people in Redbridge are being asked to complete a survey on how safe they feel.

The online questionnaire asks youngsters to describe what the word “safe” means to them and also includes questions on where they feel safe and who they turn to for help.

Comments submitted will then be used by the council in a bid to make youngsters feel less at risk in the borough.

The survey is available on the council's website and participants will be given feedback from the children's participation development officer.

The news comes as youth violence in Redbridge dropped by almost 30 per cent, with a reduction from 188 incidents in 2008/9 to 132 in 2009/10.
