TRADERS and residents have been given a second chance to air their views on the planned transformation of one of Redbridge's biggest shopping districts.
A public meeting will be held on the council's 'Draft Improvement Plan' for Barkingside town centre - which includes proposals for more public spaces and better transport links in the area.
The event, which is due to be held at Fullwell Cross Library next Monday (February 1), follows an earlier public discussion of the plans which were drawn up after consultation with traders and residents.
A council spokesman said: "The Council would like local residents and traders to provide feedback on the plan, which, when finalised, will be used to help attract new development and investment to fund the improvements.
"The public meeting is being hosted by the Barkingside 21 community group, in co-operation with the council.
"Redbridge Council Leader, Councillor Keith Prince, will be on hand to speak about the proposals and listen to residents' views.
"Residents and businesses unable to make the meeting can read the plan on the 'Environment and Planning' pages of Redbridge i at www.redbridge.gov.uk or by visiting Fullwell Cross Library, on the High Street, where copies and a display of the proposals will be available."
The meeting will be held at 7pm in the Alderborough Room at the library in Barkingside High Street.
