THE housing association which owns Walthamstow Stadium has pledged to review security on the site after graffiti was daubed on the famous facade.
Two 'tags' painted on the landmark were spotted at the weekend by Guardian reader Keith Foster, of Farnan Avenue, Walthamstow.
A spokeswoman for owners London & Quadrant said: “"It is saddening and disappointing that someone has graffitied this local landmark, we will be arranging for it to be removed as soon as possible.
“We do have security guards, with guard dogs, on the site 24 hours a day and we will be looking at ways to increase security to prevent this happening again."
L&Q is expected to submit an application for 490 homes, shops and leisure facilities on the site.
This is opposed by campaigners who want to see the venue re-opened for dog racing.
