POLICE have confirmed that a scooter rider was injured during a rush hour crash this morning (Wednesday).

Details about the motorcyclist's age and sex have yet to be released, but officers have confirmed that he or she was involved in a collision with a black Ford Fiesta in Woodford Green High Road at about 9am.

The accident caused added hold-ups for traffic in the High Road and surrounding streets.

A police spokeswoman said: "A Black Ford Fiesta car and a Blue Star Deluxe Scooter were involved (in the crash) and the rider of the scooter was injured.

"All roads are open."

The London Ambulance Service treated the injured rider at the scene.
