A GANG of robbers attacked a teenage boy, stealing just £1 and a condom, Snaresbrook Crown Court heard.
Shabir Chowdhury, 19, of Oak Hill Gardens, Woodford Green, Abu Hanifa, also 19, of Holmbury View, Hackney, brothers Mohammed Rezwan Ali and Mohammed Ashraf Ali, 22 and 20, of Homerton High Street and Mohammed Tai, 18, of Fellows Court, Hackney are all accused of robbery.
They are said to have rounded on the teenager, tormenting him and demanding the money and the condom.
The alleged offence took place on May 9, 2008, in Chelmsford Road, Woodford Green, near the Winston Churchill memorial.
The trial continues.
Another teenage boy was recently attacked by a gang of up to 20 youths in nearby Snakes Lane West.
The 15-year-old was pushed to the floor and kicked and the gang demanded he hand over his mobile phone.
No one has yet been arrested over the attack, which took place on January 23 at about 6.45pm, and police are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
