MORE details have emerged about the accident which has caused road closures and travel chaos in Ilford this afternoon.
London Ambulance were called at just after 1:30pm to a road collision involving a blue van and a silver Peugeot car on Cranbrook Road, in which a 28-year-old man suffered spinal injuries.
An ambulance crew and a medic in a response car attended the scene, The man was taken as a priority to Queen's Hospital in Romford. At the moment his condition is unknown.
Police closed a section of the road from Blenheim Avenue to Beehive Lane.
A number of bus routes have been diverted and traffic is being re-routed down Beehive Lane.
