CONSTRUCTION on what will become one of the borough's tallest buildings reached a milestone last month.
Pioneer Point, in Winston Way, is the flagship project in the much-vaunted redevelopment of Ilford town centre and once completed its two towers will stand at 33 and 25 storeys high.
In January, building work on the towers reached the nineteenth storey. Once completed, the towers will include 294 apartments.
The developers of Pioneer Point are funding the £250,000 facelift of the town centre, which will see dozens of new seats, bins and cycle racks across the area.
