A THEATRE group treated college students to a performance of an award-winning production about the issue of extremism.
GW Theatre Company, based in Manchester, visited Waltham Forest College to perform One Extreme To The Other.
The play, funded by the Government, tackles religious, racial and political extremism and is used alongside a website to teach young people about the issues portrayed.
The play was also performed at Leyton Sixth Form College.
GW creative director Mike Jones said: “One Extreme To The Other uses a theatre led approach to help all communities to become less vulnerable to those with extreme views.
"We aim to do this by engaging them in a broader dialogue and debate about identity, society, class, community and personal responsibility, and from past performances, the play has been received very well and is making a real impact in changing people’s perceptions and behaviours.”
