THEO WALCOTT has been included in Fabio Capello’s England squad to face Egypt at Wembley on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular first-team place in Arsenal’s first XI after a season blighted by niggling injuries. But he has retained the faith of Capello, who is known to be a big fan of the young forward.
Walcott will fight the likes of David Beckham, Shaun Wright-Phillips and James Milner for a place on the right side of midfield when the Africa Cup of Nations champions come to town next week.
Walcott made a cameo appearance in Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Stoke City today (Saturday), which also saw team-mate Aaron Ramsey suffer a horrific leg break.
