A DRIVER has been given a community sentence for causing the death of a Leytonstone woman.
Isabella Spagnuolo, 22, of Talbolt Road, Haringey ploughed into Ruth Ahmed, who was hit by Spagnuolo's blue Peugeot directly opposite North Middlesex Hospital in Edmonton on September 9, 2008.
Ms Ahmed was found lying in Bull Lane and died of multiple injuries in hospital.
Spagnuolo failed to stop at the scene but was arrested when she returned ten minutes later.
She pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving at a Wood Green Crown Court hearing on February 8.
On Monday, she was given a 200 hour community order and was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
