ACTION plans have been made to improve child vaccination rates in London.
The Chief Medical Officer, Sir Liam Donaldson, said measures would be taken to address low vaccination rates across the capital.
Sir Liam said there were plans for GPs and health workers to make sure parents received appropriate information.
The Health Protection Agency will work with the Department of Health, the NHS and local primary care trusts to develop an immunisation programme for measles.
A spokesman for the Department of Health said there was a potential risk of a measles outbreak due to low rates of immunisation.
