THE organisers of the Olympics have said they will consider having volunteers aged under-18 after a teenager complained.

London 2012 has told BBC London it will look into opportunities for those under 18 after criticims from teenagers keen to get involved.

One of those was Young Mayor of Newham, Kaycee de Belen, 16, from Stratford, who urged Lord Coe to reconsider the ban on young volunteers.

Organisers will be recruiting 70,000 volunteers for the Games.

They originally said the only under-18s would be ball girls and boys at tennis matches at Wimbeldon.
