A NUMBER of free guided walks are to be held around Walthamstow this summer.
Following the success of last year's walks, Neil Houghton and Marianne Zierau from the Walthamstow Historical Society are leading a series of weekend walks again.
The first is on Saturday, May 22, from 2pm, called "Choice Dwellings at Reasonable Rents", at The Warner Estate, meeting outside Blackhorse Road Underground Station, Walthamstow.
This will be followed by: "Walthamstow's Gem of a Village", on Saturday, June 19, at 2 pm, meeting outside the Vestry House Museum, Vestry Road, Walthamstow.
"Wood Street - A Street of Surprises", is on Saturday, July 10, at 2pm, meeting outside Wood Street Library in Forest Road, Walthamstow.
"Along the Towpath", is on Sunday, August 8, at 2 pm, meeting in the car park of the Lea Valley Ice Centre, Lea Bridge Road.
