TORY MPs have demanded that Iain Duncan Smith be given a cabinet post as part of any future deal with the Lib Dems.
Members from the right of the party have called on leader David Cameron to insist on the Woodford Green MP's appointment during negotiations on forming a possible coalition government.
But Mr Duncan Smith, who heads influential think-tank the Centre for Social Justice, said there were far more important things for the parties to discuss than his job - during a BBC radio interview yesterday (Monday) afternoon.
Nevertheless, the former Tory leader is understood to be top of a list of figures who backbenchers want to see figure in a future cabinet.
