PUPILS at Daiglen School where wild with excitement when they received a visit from Animal Workshops.
Nursery and reception children at the school, in Palmerston Road, Buckhurst Hill, were given the chance to meet a variety of creatures including corn snakes, African bullfrogs, and giant hissing Madagascan cockroaches.
As well as learning about their four-legged friends' habitats, the braver pupils were allowed to handle the animals while the younger children were given the opportunity to build them shelters.
Nursery manager Jacque Davis said: “The children had a wonderful time. It’s great to see how fearless they are when given the opportunity to handle the animals. I have to admit that I was keeping a low profile when the snakes were out.”
