EPPING Forest District Museum is creating a witch hunt for its next exhibition.
The museum, in Sun Street, Waltham Abbey, has joined forces with the Renaissance in the Regions group to present an exhibition on the East Anglian witch hunt of 1645-7.
Looking behind the familiar idea of a witch with a broomstick and black cat, the exhibition will explore the paranoia and persecution which set in in the 17th century at the idea witchcraft was being practised.
The free exhibition will run from next Monday, May 17 to June 27. For more information and opening times call 01992 716882.
