X-FACTOR star Stacey Solomon returned to her old secondary school last night to judge contestants in a special version of the hit TV talent show on which she made her name.
Miss Solomon took her place on the panel for the KS Factor, at King Solomon High School in Barkingside, where 24 of the school's most talented singers competed for a £100 prize.
After all the acts performed, the judging panel – who had dressed up specially for the occasion to look like real-life X Factor judges Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole – gave their verdict.
The eventual winner, year 11 student Sophie Delin, stunned the judges and audience with her rendition of 'Out There On My Own' from the musical Fame.
Sophie was awarded the top prize and immediately donated it back to the school's chosen charity, Meir Panim, which aims to provide food for undernourished and vulnerable people in Israel.
While the final total has not yet been confirmed, the school expects the night to have raised well over a thousand pounds.
Ms Solomon lost out in the 2009 show to eventual winner Joe McElderry, has been tipped for big things after impressing the nation with her powerful vocal skills and down-to-earth personality.
She kicked off the evening by performing a duet with former pupil Gemma Gold, who recently won the Kosher Talent singing competition.
The pair performed 'Who Wants To Live Forever', which was one of the songs which earned Stacey her reputation for soaring ballads on the X Factor.
