RESIDENTS and staff at a care home will celebrate their cultural heritage at a special event this afternoon.
People living at Forest Dene Care Home in Wanstead will enjoy a range of traditional food from countries all over the world, served up by staff dressed in clothing of their original national heritage.
Staff suggested dishes which represented their home nation's culture, which have been prepared by chef Kyle Knight and his team for all to sample.
Manager Katy Hughes said: “We are proud of our rich cultural diversity so thought what better way to celebrate this by having a multicultural day.
“Our residents are extremely excited and are looking forward to sampling traditional dishes from across the world.”
