NUTRITIONISTS and dieticians will run a series of informative events at King George Hospital later this month, as part of NHS Redbridge's drive to cut obesity and increase healthy eating through the borough.
The hospital, in Barley Lane, Ilford, will host the sessions as part of Nutrition and Dietetic Week from March 24 to 28.
On Monday 24, there will be a healthy eating stand in the restaurant, where residents can get free weight and BMI measurements taken.
A talk entitled 'Nutrition Matters' will be given on Tuesday in the Cedar Centre reception, followed a by question and answer session later in the day.
Wednesday will see a dietician on hand in the restaurant to give advice on healthy food choices, following by a second healthy eating stand on Thursday.
The week will wrap up with 'Start Wise' in the Maternity ward, which will help mothers choose the right foods for their newborn children.
