IAIN Duncan Smith has been given a role in the coalition Government's cabinet.
The Chingford and Woodford Green MP has been confirmed as the new Work and Pensions secretary.
It is a return to frontline politics for the former Conservative leader, who lost the party leadership in 2003.
Since then, he has founded the Centre for Social Justice think tank, which has been influential in advising Tory policy.
