A GROUP of people came together to take part in a four-mile walk beating the bounds ceremony.
On Sunday afternoon, 42 people took part in the annual event organised by the New Lammas Lands Defence Committee to celebrate the ancient tradition of marking the boundaries, around former Lammas land in Leyton.
A professional basket weaver attended to show participants how to strip willows properly, which were then decorated and used to beat the boundaries.
The blessing was performed by druid, Steve Wilson, and local landscape historian Katy Andrews.
