DADS were cooking up a a treat at Kids Inc nursery when they were invited in for a day of food-based fun.
The nursery, in Old Station Road, Loughton, held the Daddy's Cooking Day, to give hard-working fathers the chance to join their children in the kitchen and show off their snack-making skills.
Marzipan biscuits, pizza, and white chocolate shredded wheat were all on the menu with the children allowed to take home the fruits of their labours at the end of the day.
Nursery manager Katie Bennett said: “We wanted to involve the dads more because usually we just have the mums coming in. It's good they can come in and bond with their children.
“It went really, really well. We had quite a good turnout. They loved it and they were asking when the next one would be. It was the first time we've done it but we'll make it a regular thing.”
