A PAEDOPHILE has been jailed after police investigated a series of sex attacks on schoolgirls across London.
Andrew Moore, 45, of Albury Ride, Cheshunt, pleaded guilty to one offence of trying to engage in sexual activity in front of a child and 18 counts of possession of indecent images of children.
A Met Police spokesman said Moore was arrested on February 4 in an undercover decoy operation by officers from the Sapphire Unit at Enfield, which investigates sexual offences.
Officers were investigating a series of sex assaults on girls, usually in the morning on their way to school, across Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Enfield and Barnet.
Moore admitted carrying out lewd behaviour in front of a 14-year-old in Lyonsdown Road, Barnet, in February.
He received an indeterminate sentence of not less than two and a half years at Wood Green Crown court yesterday.
He was also placed on the sex offenders register for life.
