A NEW exhibition on the witch hunts of the 16th and 17th centuries has opened at the Epping Forest District Museum.
The display examines the reasons behind and history of the persecution of 'witches' in Britain.
The exhibition, at the museum in Sun Street, Waltham Abbey, has been organised in partnership with the Renaissance East of England group.
It runs until Sunday June 27.
Entry is free.
