HISTORY lovers can find out more about ancient Bablylon during a talk by one of the UK's leading experts on the subject tonight (Monday).
Dr Irving Finkel of the British Museum will explore the history and myths of one of the world's great early civilisations during the 2010 Rudge Memorial Lecture at Woodford County High School.
The free event, which has been organised by West Essex Archaeological Group, will also examine the cross-fertilization of religions in Mesopotamia with particular reference to the exile of the Jews, who were deported from Judah by Nebuchadnezzar in the 6th Century BC.
The talk will run from 8pm until 9.30pm at the Assembly Hall, Woodford County High School, High Road, Woodford Green.
