MOTORISTS are facing severe delays on the A406 North Circular road following a serious accident.

The accident took place earlier today on the westbound carriageway, at the Crooked Billet interchange and involved three vehicles.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at about 8am.

The crash involved a Volkswagen Golf, a Ford Fiesta and another unknown car.

London Ambulance service sent a fast response vehicle and two crews to the scene.

A 30-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were treated by paramedics and taken to North Middlesex Hospital.

The A406 and the A118, Ilford Hill, were heavily congested while the road was being cleared.
