TWO teenagers arrested in connection with a shooting in Chingford have been released on police bail.
The two 19-year-old men were arrested following the incident in Marmion Avenue on May 3.
Police were called to the scene, in an alleyway between the avenue and Hall Lane, next to South Chingford Library, at about 11.30pm.
At about the same time, police were called to an un-named north London hospital after a 19-year-old man suffering gunshot wounds to his legs turned up asking for treatment.
The teenager was later arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm after a gun was found in his car.
Another 19-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm.
The incident is being investigated by Trident, which looks into gun crimes in the black community.
A police spokesperson said the pair have now been released on bail until July 1, pending further enquiries.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Trident north east shootings team on (020) 8217 7355, or Crimestoppers anonymously on (0800) 555111.
