A MAN has been beaten and robbed by a pair of thugs outside his home.

The 40-year-old had just returned from work on Friday, March 26 when he was attacked by the men as he approached his front door, in Clarendon Gardens, Ilford.

The thieves stole his mobile phone and a bag containing a large quantity of cash during the robbery, which took place at about 3pm.

Both of his attackers are described as Asian, aged about 20 and around 5ft 10ins tall.

One was wearing a beige hooded jacket, blue jeans and black and white trainers, while the other wore a black hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms with addidas stripes down the leg.
