ST MARY'S Church in South Woodford is to host an acclaimed one-man play on Charles Darwin's life next week.
The performance of 'Mr Darwin's Tree' will be held at the church, in the High Road, on Saturday May 29 from 7pm.
The play tells the story of Darwin's life and the conflict between his views and the staunch Christianity of his wife, and the issues raised by his theory of evolution.
Tickets are £7, or £5 for students.
Call 020 8505 3000 for more information and tickets, which are also available from the parish office and at the church on the night.
