THE company which runs Britain's cash machine network has offered a reward of up to £25,000 for information about a tampered ATM machine in Loughton.
As reported in the Guardian last week, police are currently hunting a suspect who they think might have fitted a skimming device to a machine outside the Lloyds TSB bank in the Broadway.
Now LINK has called on the people of Loughton to contact them via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 with possible cash payouts available for details which could help crack the case.
LINK spokesman Graham Mott said: "Even something that may sound insignificant could be part of a bigger picture and prove invaluable in convicting someone involved in cash machine crime."
The alleged attempted fraud happened at around 6.30am on Tuesday January 26, but police only made the details public last week.
The suspect wanted in connection with the tampering is described as a white man, who is about 5’ 6” tall with a stocky build.
Anyone with any relevant information about the case can also contact PC Kevin Wade at Loughton Police Station on 0300 333 4444.
