THE BUDDING Andy Murrays and Laura Robsons of the area now have a new facility to use as they try to become the tennis champions of tomorrow.
Aldersbrook Tennis Club, in Blake Hall Road, Wanstead, unveiled its latest training facility aimed at getting youngsters into the game this Saturday (May 22).
Dozens of children turned up at the launch event, and were given some free coaching by one of the club's rising stars, 19-year-old Jamie Vivian, who is in the top 100 UK players.
The club's Amanda Sanford said: “The court is about half the size of a standard tennis court and they kids use smaller equipment as well.
“It's aimed at getting the under-10s into tennis, and we're the only club in the area to have a facility like this so it's a bit of a novelty.”
