MORE than 100 runners completed a five-mile course in the summer sun yesterday for a high-profile charity.
The Epping Fun Run is an annual event held in support of the Rhys Daniels Trust, and 108 people took part on Sunday (May 23) to raise money for the good cause.
The charity was set up by Barry and Carmen Daniels from Epping in memory of Rhys Daniels and his sister Charly, who died from the rare genetic late infantile Batten's disease in 1998 and 1999.
Actors Linda Lusardi and husband Sam Kane was on hand to start the race and present prizes, while sponsors Haart Estate Agents gave out balloons and goodie bags at the end.
Last year's race raised over £3,000 and the charity is hoping to better that this time round.
