A WELL-USED Surestart centre has relaunched itself in a bit to become more widely recognised in the community.
The former Limes Farm Children's Centre, based at Limes Hall, in Limes Avenue, Chigwell, has rebranded itself True Stars.
As part of Surestart, the centre offers a pre-school group, and a wide-range of education and outreach programs.
Children's centre support worker Sharon Bowers said: “We realised a lot of people thought it was just for families on Limes Farm, but it's the surrounding area too from Abridge to South Woodford.
“We are open to young families with children under 5 for play. We also work with parents to help get them back to work. We work very closely with Jobcentre Plus and some of our parents have been on courses.”
To celebrate the centre's relaunch and also to mark its receiving a good practice award from the pre-school alliance, the centre held a party with a magician, face-painting and balloon modelling.
Sharon said: “It was absolutely brilliant. There were so many positive things said by parents and they really, really enjoyed it. We met some wonderful people.”
