A CLASSROOM was damaged when a fire broke out in a school.
A member of the public alerted the fire brigade at 3.34am this morning (Tuesday) after spotting the blaze at Henry Maynard Infant School in Maynard Road, Walthamstow.
Three fire engines attended and the fire in a single-story block was under control by 4.30am.
No-one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
The school opened today as usual.
