THE Mayor of London has published a report on the 20 outer London boroughs.
The report, by the Outer London Commission, looks at areas where the boroughs can be developed, including housing, transport and employment.
It highlights the need for more industrial development in outer London and the need for more housing.
The report states: "In planning for new homes it will be important to bear in mind the changing patterns of demand - the need for more family homes, meeting the particular needs of more younger and older Londoners and the growth in smaller households."
The commission was set up by the mayor in 2008 to examine the needs of the boroughs, which make up 60 per cent of the city's population.
