Have a little bit of stardust sprinkled over you this weekend when the king of glam rock comes to the Millfield Arts Centre, Edmonton.
Having had some chart success in the early 1960s in Shane Fenton & The Fentones, Alvin Stardust hit new heights in the mid-’70s with his first smash My Coo-Ca-Choo.
A string of hits followed, including the chart-topping Jealous Mind, as well as I Feel like Buddy Holly, Pretend, Red Dress, I Won’t Run Away, You You You, and Good Love Can Never Die.
This Saturday the Muswell Hill-born star will also perform tracks from his latest album I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll, which features many of his biggest hits alongside popular covers and seven original songs.
His new songs, inspired by Americana-style country rock, include Other Side Of Me and Dirt On My Hands, as well as the Elvis inspired My Sweet Elvis and Reverend Jack Daniels.
Millfield Arts Centre, Saturday, May 29, 8pm. Details: 020 8807 6680
