SHOPPERS in a high street where given an eye-catching guide to protecting their valuables when a multimedia crime advice display was set up.
Essex Police set up their TV Burglar roadshow in The Broadway, Loughton to raise awareness of crime in the area.
A media display showed a video of an ex-offender who said: “I used to walk down streets, try doors, and you're guaranteed that out of 20 houses, you'd find three or four of those with back doors open.”
Security demonstrations were given by local officers and leaflets given out offering advice on how people could safeguard their home against burglary.
