A FASHION show is being held to help raise money for Whipps Cross Hospital.
Eight cutting edge clothing design labels will be joining forces in a charity catwalk event of their latest vintage themed collections.
The “Make Do & Mend” event has been organised by designer and stylist Tommy Lloyd Baker, who felt compelled to raise funds for Whipps Cross University Hospital NHS Trust and Bob Champion Cancer Trust after both organisations helped his father overcome bladder cancer.
He said: "Tommy said: “I wanted to say thanks to the people who helped nurse and support my dad through cancer and raise money for them, so I thought this would be a fun way to do it as well as a great opportunity to bring together cutting edge designers.
"He is on the mend now, but without the support and care from the staff at Whipps Cross or the research and help the Bob Champion Cancer Trust gave us as a family, things might have been very different."
The show is at sports venue T47 in London Bridge on Thursday, June 10.
Tickets are now on sale at £25, which includes a champagne reception, entertainment and an art exhibition.
