DETECTIVES have renewed their appeal for witnesses of a fatal car crash thought to have involved a stolen vehicle.
Paul Slater, 36, was killed in the smash, which happened at around 10pm on Thursday May 20 in Romford Road, near its junction with Sylvan Way.
It is thought Mr Slater, from Dagenham, was driving a grey Ford Fiesta when it crashed with a silver BMW.
Mr Slater was thrown from the car and died a short while later at Queens Hospital in Romford.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
"In particular they want to obtain details of a vehicle believe to be travelling directly behind the Fiesta. And also whether anyone saw the Fiesta, believed to have been stolen, in the Brocket Way or Manford Way area prior to the collision."
Anyone with information is urged to contact PC Nicole Leeder at Chigwell Road Policing Unit on 0300 333 4444.
